Today fifty-three years ago was The Day The Music Died . No I am NOT talking about the anniversary of the release of Don Mclean's song American Pie, I'm talking about the real day the music died. When three of the greatest rock and roll singers of 50's era died in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa. Buddy Holly, J.P "The Big Bopper" Richardson, and Ritchie Valens were all on tour for the big "The Winter Dance Party" which was a tour that covered twenty-four states in Midwestern cities in just three weeks. It was cold and snowy and the tour bus was half broken and on it's last leg.
