It’s been three years since D-day and, while a lot has happened, a lot has stayed the same. Career-wise, I am in a much better place. Emotionally, I am much stronger. Physically, I am better. Relationship-wise, we communicate more and better. All good things. All evidence of hard work. All signs that point to a hopeful future together. We’ve worked hard to stay connected despite our many nights apart. We continue to communicate several times a day by phone or text and Skype every evening we’re not together.
