The world can become crueler, more violent, and mercurial. Perhaps, if it weren’t for the change in weather, some of us would find it hard to believe that there are still some constants here (and I hope we do something before climate change takes that away as well). The post-rain, afternoon sky today was breathtaking, signaling the slow end of summer before it morphs into a pre-fall sky by the end of September. I remind myself that it is all about the simple things in life while we grapple with the fact that all of us are lost in one way or another.
