Θέματα από τη σύγχρονη ιστορία - Χωρίς παρωπίδες, χωρίς εμμονές, χωρίς σκοπιμότητες Τρίτη 4 Μαΐου 2021 Η ΚΑΤΟΧΗ ΚΑΙ ΤΟ ΑΓΙΟΝ ΟΡΟΣ ΔΙΚΕΣ ΔΟΣΙΛΟΓΩΝ ΜΟΝΑΧΩΝ ΤΟΥ ΑΓΙΟΥ ΟΡΟΥΣ Ο τάφος του Αγιορείτη μοναχού Δανιήλ Καραμανλή σε νεκροταφείο της Αδελαΐδας. Όταν μετά την αποφυλάκισή του στις αρχές δεκαετίας 1950 δεν μπόρεσε να επιστρέψει στη Μονή Παντοκράτορος, που τον είχε διαγράψει οριστικά πλέον από τα μητρώα της, αποφάσισε να μεταναστεύσει στην Αυστραλία και εγκαταστάθηκε στην Αδελαΐδα, όπου είχε συγγενείς. Σε προάστιό της έχτισε την ελληνορθόδοξη εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου, στην οποία φυσικά εξακολουθούν να εκκλησιάζονται οι εκεί ενορίτες. Ωστόσο το 1960 ο Δανιήλ Καραμανλής, που είχε εμπλακεί στο εσωεκκλησιαστικό ζήτημα της Αρχιεπισκοπής Αυστραλίας, καθαιρέθηκε, αλλά παρέμεινε στην ούτως ή άλλως ιδιωτική εκκλησία του που πλέον θεωρήθηκε αντικανονική. Είκοσι χρόνια μετά τον θάνατό του, το 2013, η εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου επιχορηγήθηκε με πέντε εκα...
