Às tantas foi dito que as seis maiores (enfim, não sei o critério usado) associações ambientalistas terão, no conjunto, 20 mil sócios, dos quais 5 mil pagam quotas. Mil serão os que pagam quotas da LPN, a associação a que assembleia geral em que estava dizia respeito. Havia duas listas candidatas aos órgãos sociais da LPN mas, para meu grande espanto, as duas procuravam mostrar que eram as melhores herdeiras dos velhos caminhos do movimento ambientalista, discutindo, pro exemplo, se a derrota do movimento ambientalista no processo da barragem do Tua se devia a falta de empenho ou a falta de suporte social. Em nenhum momento se põe sequer a hipótese do movimento ambientalista ter vindo a somar derrotas simplesmente porque está errado no seu caminho.
