ATTIC OF ASTOUNDING ARTIFACTS Thursday, August 16, 2012 Died: SF Author -- Legend! -- Harry Harrison I was sad to recently learn that Harry Harrison passed away. According to his official web site, he was 87 years old. Harrison remains one of my favorite authors, and I had the privilege of interviewing him a number of years ago. The conversation never saw the light of day, and with Harrison's recent death, it seems like as good a time as any to put this out there for everyone to read. (Re-reading it all these years later, I wish I'd talked about more than just his satirical writing. Ah well.) He was a nice, friendly man, someone who had no problem chatting with me for a surprisingly long time. I'm glad I was able to speak with him, and I'm sure he'll be sorely missed, both inside and out of the science fiction community.
