Systemische Ungerechtigkeit wurde angesprochen und lebensbejahende Alternativen aufgezeigt. Vertreter:innen von Kirchen aus dem globalen Süden kamen zu Wort. «Kapitalismus tötet» – wenn wir diesen Satz in einem schweizerischen Kontext aussprechen, geraten wir in Verdacht, uns einer linken bis linksextremen Ideologie zu verschreiben. Und es ist ja tatsächlich so, dass ein auf Konkurrenz und freier Entfaltung aufbauendes Wirtschaftssystem den Menschen im Westen viel Wohlstand ermöglicht hat – allerdings auch eine Menge von hochproblematischen Nebenwirkungen, zu denen die Klimakatastrophe gehört.
