One of my favorite subjects, in this regard, is ancient mythology and religion. I have often heard opponents to religion, and particularly Christianity, state that since there are so many simmilarities and parrallels between ancient and modern mythos and religion, none of them can be true. I find this assertion flawed in that each of these ancient and modern religious traditions serve as a witness to the truth.
