Bacons-Bits Bacons-Bits Saturday, June 16, 2012 Summer Vacation To California The kids and I spent a few days in Palm Springs with Grandma and Grandpa Lake mostly swimming:) Jon flew in from Chicago and we headed to Oceanside for a few days. Day 1: Oceanside City Beach, just a few minutes form our hotel. We built sand castles, dug for sand crabs, put our toes in the water. Grandpa had to go to work but he came that night and met us at Olive Garden for Dinner. Day 2: Legoland Day 3: Aircraft Carrier/Beach We visited the USS Midway docked in San Diego. It has been turned into an air museum. Then we headed back to the beach for a couple more hours of fun. This time we had Grandpa Lake with us and he headed straight into the water. That gave the boys the idea that they could probably get in the water too. So they headed in and had a great time jumping over the waves.
