Another sublime August morning, with a decent dusting of birds. 55+ Willow Warbler adorned the umbellifers, c25 Common Whitethroat , 2 Lesser Whitethroat , my first Pied Flycatcher of the autumn was in the bushes at the S-bends, a single Wheatear was above Belle Tout Wood, overhead c200 House Martin were around the the lighthouse, in the company of c100 Sand Martin and c20 Swallow , a Tree Pipit passed over as did a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull . A Sparrowhawk was around the pub. Willow Warblers. The day before was slower, 3 Sedge Warbler , 2 Nightingale in Shooters, c10 Willow Warb...
