Five to six months ago, my job had become too stressful for me. With my underlying fibromyalgia, the escalating demands for private tours had become overwhelming. I was selling more than I ever could have imagined but following through was a different kettle of fish. The emails just kept piling up. I would wake up at 4 am with thoughts of groups arriving soon and worrying that I had forgotten important parts of their trip. Increasingly, I would sit in my car at a red light and suddenly have absolutely no idea where I was going. I started making more mistakes at work. My attention span was that of my ADD cat, Sophia – who will forget that she is eating and start chasing her tail. I could not read books for pleasure any more.
