Byron Hurt Featured Films @ByronHurt Events Purchase Oct 19, 2021 Byron Hurt Documentary Filmmaker This has been under wraps for several months but I never announce a film project until the ink is dried and the money is in the bank. Both have happened, so now I can safely announce my new film project, fully funded by PBS NOVA, and GBH in Boston. The name of my newest film venture is tentatively entitled, "Looking for Lee and Liza." It's a science-based story that centers on my paternal family's search, using DNA testing, to learn more about our family's ancestry, including our oldest known patriarch and matriarch, Lee Hurt and Liza Waller, two mythical figures who sit atop our family tree.
