Skip to content Home About September 19, 2015 Jasper’s Triathlon Season Summary 2015 RAF Scampton Duathlon Bad weather with clouds and rain and lots of wind. First race with new road bike (thank you Giant UK / Johnny!) Did not enjoy because it wasn’t good racing weather and I had a stitch. Came 10 th but was first 9-year old; I was now racing against people almost 2 years older than me as I had gone up an age group. My friend, Barnaby (who came 9 th ) and I classed this as a ‘warm-up’ race. We tried our hardest but it was the first race and perhaps we weren’t quite in ‘triathlon’ mode yet! Prestwold Duathlon Much better weather J. I tested the bike on the track before the race. I got stuck behind a group on the start line which slowed me down on the first run, but was still quite happy with my split time and did a good transition. On the bike I really flew on the Giant TCR Espoir and was full of adrenaline...
