Book Glutton skip to main | skip to sidebar Book Glutton Friday, March 08, 2019 Derry Girls and Brexit Northern Ireland has been having a moment.  One of the best new sitcoms on international television is Derry Girls , a comedy about teenage school girls in Derry (Londonderry) in the 1990s.  Belfast's Anna Burns just won the Booker Prize for her novel  Milkman .  Northern Ireland's largest political party is the key to the United Kingdom's current government.  There's also a new book out about one of the worst murders from the Troubles, Patrick Radden Keefe's Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland .  And because of the madness that grips the United Kingdom at the moment, the Irish border is again of critical importance.
