BoulderMod Modern Homes in Greater Boulder BoulderMod Home About Testimonials | Subcribe via RSS Historic Hampton-Barnes House April 7th, 2011 | 2 Comments | Posted in Architects , Cool Find This unique Usonian house was the personal home of architect Jacques Hampton. Completed in 1951, Hampton only lived here until 1954 when he sold the home to acclaimed philosophy professor, Hazel Barnes. In 1965, Barnes and her partner added an architecturally sensitive second floor addition designed by well known Boulder architect, Charles Haertling. Due to its rich local history in both architecture and residents, the Hampton-Barnes House was designated a Boulder Landmark in 2008. The house is a 3bd/2ba with approximately 1800 square feet, priced under $500k. There is no garage, but it does have secured storage space. « Older Entries Categories Architects Cool Find News Links 5280mod ModMidMod MountainMod The Denver Eye     Join Email List ...
