Disempadani dengan Jajahan Tanah Merah oleh Sungai Jegor di Barat, Timor disempedani dengan Jalan Keretapi Pasir Mas – Tanah Merah. Walaupun sebagai sebuah perkampungan kecil itu, ianya telah di gunakan oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya sebagai sebuah nama Dewan Undangan Negeri menggantikan nama Lemal sebelum ini yang kini dimenangi oleh Mohd Zain Ismail dari Barisan Nasional ( BN/ Umno). Penduduk terdiri 95% Melayu dan selebihnya Siam dan China.
