I’m not sure why I never made one before but needs must and on Saturday evening I sat down and found this excellent pattern from Crochet with Raymond. It’s perfect for stash busting and so quick that one movie later I had a finished cosy. If you are looking for a simple, adaptable pattern I can’t recommend this enough. I used worsted weight yarn with a 4.5mm hook and started with a chain of 60ish. I just made the chain, checked that it fitted around the tea pot under the handle and spout and followed the pattern from there, omitting the part around the top.
