Celoptra's Blog | Just another WordPress.com weblog Celoptra's Blog Just another WordPress.com weblog Mary Poppins (1964) September 25, 2024 So I finished last night the “Practically Perfect” movie of the 1964 Mary Poppins. This is one of the movies I grew up on as 90s child. As well as Pollyanna and The Parent Trap. So I loved this movie growing up. Since this is one of the more famous Disney movies I don’t think I need to have an synopsis for this but I will anyway just to be on the safe side: After one too many nannies get tired of being run away from or being pranked by “two adorable children” they get the adventure of a life time when their advertisement for a nanny which their dad had thrown away gets Mary Poppins to come straight to the door of 17. Cherry Tree Lane. I had much more of an appreciation of the movie now as an adult then I did as a child because I have historical context on some things. Like why I think its Katie Nanna, being aghast when Mrs. Bank...
