The pile was sitting on the kitchen table, covering a huge blemish in the wood. I bought the table like that in 2013, but today it made me think of you. This table means a lot to me. It has made many moves with me and the kids. It has always been my plan to sand the table down and re-stain it someday. I’ve noticed recently that the legs are wobbly; sometimes I wonder if I should just replace the whole damn thing. But I’m hopeful that the old girl has some life left in her. I’ve done a lot alone.
