I know that doesn’t sound very exciting, and I suppose it’s not for most people who go that route, but it changed everything for me! It led me to a place I never thought I’d go, and it made me face challenges I never could have dreamed of facing! Let me explain… My name is Sabrina Elwood, and I’m originally from California, but my family and I wound up moving to Mired Springs, Nevada when I was a teenager because my dad lost his job at a tech company and we couldn’t afford to live in Silicon Valley anymore. Thirteen is an awkward age for everyone, but try going through it after relocating to somewhere with a completely different culture! The weather was excruciatingly hot, and they wouldn’t let us wear shorts to school even when it hit triple digits!...
