(β) Καταφέρνει και κάθεται στο τραπέζι με τους Ευρωπαίους εταίρους και θέτει το θέμα του συμφώνου δημοσιονομικής πειθαρχίας, του μνημονίου ΙΙ δηλαδή. (γ) Οι εταίροι λένε «ναι» στην επαναδιαπραγμάτευση. (δ) Κανείς δεν μας σπρώχνει έξω από το ευρώ. (ε) Η νέα αριστερή κυβέρνηση πασχίζει να μείνει σε αυτό, πολεμάει δηλαδή να τα βγάλει πέρα έχοντας ως εθνικό νόμισμα το ευρώ, μην τυπώνοντας καινούργιο, εσωτερικό νόμισμα. Τότε αρχίζει ένας μακρύς δρόμος συζητήσεων και διαπραγματεύσεων. Στο μεταξύ είναι σχεδόν βέβαιο ότι οι νέες δόσεις του δανείου δεν θα μας δοθούν (αφού αθετήσαμε διεθνείς συμβάσεις) πριν συμφωνήσουμε σε νέο πλαίσιο.  Ερχόμαστε τώρα στο εσωτερικό της χώρας.
