Frequentamos séculos anteriores à nossa era como se a coexistência de todos os tempos da história fosse uma teoria demonstrada por factos. Procedente das águas de um rio antigo, vi-me transformado num mago singular, e chegado a uma das margens que tinha grande beleza natural e monumentos colossais. Ia ali por uma questão de operar prodígios na corte de um rei magnífico, mas acabei por ficar prisioneiro da torre mais alta do seu palácio.
