Σολδάτος γεννήθηκε στην Λευκάδα το 1969 Από το 2000 και μετά συνεργάστηκε με την εφημερίδα «τα Νέα της Λευκάδας» γράφοντας για αρκετά χρόνια την στήλη «το Ποίημα της Εβδομάδας» καθώς και πλήθος άρθρων πολιτιστικού αλλά και κοινωνικοπολιτικού περιεχομένου. Επίσης συνεργάστηκε με την εφημερίδα « Τύπος Λευκαδίων » (2015-2016), καθώς και με διάφορες λευκαδίτικες ιστοσελίδες (mylefkada, Άρωμα Λευκάδας κ.λπ.). Πρωτοστάτησε στην διοργάνωση των πρώτων Σαπφείων στο ακρωτήριο Λευκάτας το 2009 και, με μακρόχρονη μαχητική αρθρογραφία, στην διάσωση της Οικίας Σικελιανού για την μετατροπή της σε Μουσείο. Βρήκε, συντήρησε και παρέδωσε στην Δημόσια Βιβλιοθήκη Λευκάδας το τραπέζι που έγραψε ο Κώστας Καρυωτάκης τα τελευταία του ποιήματα στην Πρέβεζα. Έχει εκδώσει τις συλλογές: Ανύπαρκτος, 1988...
