It touched me tremendously at some unnamed level. I did not fully understand why the over 3 hour movie was so striking to me, but it was. Today I read Daniel Garrett’s take on the movie, and that gave me some clues. I will watch more from Ceylan later; I really liked this first movie of his that I watched.
