Aceh memiliki sumber daya alam yang melimpah sama seperti Papua dan Kalimantan. Namun pada kenyataanya masyarakat Aceh miskin. Bila di pandang dari beberapa aspek baik kekayaan alam, budaya serta kecakapan kualitas sumberdaya manusianya. Kondisi ini mustahil di alami Provinsi Aceh. Mungkin ingatan kita bisa memutar kembali ke zaman kejayaan Aceh, di mana setelah kemerdekaan, daerah Aceh banyak menyumbang untuk Jakarta.
