June 14, 2015 emmacatherinewilson Leave a comment In the first week of prac, I observed, and taught maths to the students. Although I was nervous about my PCK about the maths concepts, I was happy to be given the opportunity to develop my skills and understanding about teaching Year 6 maths. From my first teaching lesson, struggling to differentiate for all the different ability levels, to seeing correct answers in the maths tests from the content that I’d taught, it was truely a great experience. One that I wouldn’t swap. As mentioned in my last post, I used Plickers , which was a great resource for formative assessment. Seriously, check it out.
