Science in Greek | Just another WordPress.com weblog Science in Greek About H επιστήμη του αοράτου 27Αυγ.08 Μια από τις αγαπημένες σκηνές των παιδιών στη γνωστή ταινία Χάρυ Πότερ, είναι αυτή κατά την οποία ο νεαρός ήρωας φοράει την μαγική κάπα που τον κάνει αόρατο και αρχίζει να εξερευνά τα μυστικά δωμάτια του σχολείου μαγείας «Χόγκουαρτς». Παραμύθια θα πείτε και θα έχετε δίκιο, όμως η κατασκευή μιας κάπας που θα κάνει αόρατο όποιον την φορέσει, ίσως να μην είναι και πολύ μακριά. Την περασμένη βδομάδα, δυο δημοσιεύματα σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά ανακοίνωναν την δημιουργία στο εργαστήριο δυο τεχνητών υλικών τα οποία μπορούν να καμπυλώνουν το φως γύρω τους, εκτρέποντας το σε διαφορετικές από την αρχική διευθύνσεις και καθιστώντας έτσι τα αντικείμενα πίσω τους αόρατα. Και οι δυο ομάδες εργάζονται στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μπέρκλει της Καλιφόρνια και ανακοίνωσαν ταυτόχρονα τα αποτελέσματα των ερευνών τους στα περιοδικά Science και Nature.
