About Eric Whitmire About Publications CV I'm a Research Scientist at Facebook Reality Labs Research where I explore novel input devices, sensing techniques, and interaction experiences for augmented and virtual reality. I am passionate about sensing and tracking problems and love working at the intersection of hardware and software. In 2019, I completed my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, advised by Shwetak Patel in the Ubiquitous Computing Lab at the University of Washington . I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2014 as a Park Scholar with a double major in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering .
