As with almost all humans, our favorite pets are predators like dogs and cats, etc. We are, of course, predators, too. We have to kill or destroy other living beings (including plants) in order to survive. We eat them. There was a time, in 1974-75, when I became convinced that humankind could only survive if we destroyed our present world civilization – in a nuclear war...
