(Staretul Methodios) Sf. Mt. Athos (24 octombrie) – La mai mult de 2 ani dupa ce a l-a ridicat, guvernul grec a instituit un si mai dur embargo asupra livrarilor esentiale vietii la Manastirea Esfigmenu din Sfantul Munte. Pe 12 octombrie, liniile telefonice au fost intrerupte, intr-o incercare de a amuti vocea monahilor si de a le taia comunicarea cu lumea. In aceeasi zi, vehicolul cu care se transportau la Manastire alimente, medicamente si combustibil pentru incalzire, din orasul vecin Karies, a fost confiscat. Calugarii de la Esfigmenu, cea mai populata manastire din Sfantul Munte, dezaproba politica patriarhului ecumenic Bartholomeu al Constantinopolelui, si ca rezultat, sunt inca odata sub asediu. Pa...
