Lumina cădea în picaj pe deasupra merilor în floare , se unduia deasupra fântânii şi în cele din urmă se scurgea pe sticla prăfuită ca un şuvoi de apă nelăsând în urmă nici o dâră atunci când vreun nor rătăcit din întâmplare acoperea bulgărele de soare de dimineaţă .Îşi bău cafeaua ceva mai fierbinte decât de obicei şi mâncă pe fuga . Îşi trase apoi pe el doar un tricou şi pantalonii scurţi şi în cele din urmă ieşi din casă . Tocmai la timp , îşi spuse zărindu-i de parte pe ceilalţi lovind cu târnăcoapele şi scoţând din zid primele cărămizi pe ziua aceea . Nimeni nu ar fi putut spune cu exactitate a cui fusese ideea de a construi zidul şi chiar scopul lui rămânea în esenţă cam neclar dar se împământenise cu mult timp în urmă obiceiul ca în fiecare zi de miercuri şi joi din săptămână , ...
