Είναι πολύ δυσάρεστο αυτή τη στιγμή μια μάζα ανθρώπων να βρίσκεται στο περιθώριο θεωρούμενοι ως «λεπροί» για την υπόλοιπη κοινωνία. Με αφορμή λοιπόν τις τρείς χιλιάδες αυτοκτονίες που έχουν συμβεί τα τελευταία χρόνια στην πολύπαθη Ελλάδα, διαπιστώνει κάνεις ότι ο άνεργος, ή ο άπορος, αυτός δηλαδή που βρέθηκε στη δεινή κατάσταση της σημερινής πραγματικότητας, είναι κατά κύριο λόγο ο αποδέκτης και το κύριο θύμα της οικονομικής κρίσης. Η κοινωνία ως όφειλε θα έπρεπε ήδη να είχε σκύψει στα προβλήματα αυτών των ανθρώπων, όχι απαραίτητα προσφέροντας υλικά αγαθά, αλλά ψυχολογική τόνωση αυτών που βιώνουν την ανέχεια, την απογοήτευση και κατ’ επέκταση την πλήρη απόγνωση στο πετσί τους.
