So much about the world, so much about elections and so much about who I am in the face of all this thinking. So today, I’m not going to try to solve any problems, but instead reflect on who I am as a teacher. Might sort of answer “who I am in this world.” I’ve often been asked what draws me to teaching, to why I keep subbing as I retired a few years ago. I had one of those clarity of mind a-ha moments, recently. It’s not the “teaching” that keeps me here, but the learning! Oh yes I definitely love engaging children as they traverse the roads of exploration and learning in their academic and social-emotional domains!
