Earlier this month, The Irish Sun published an article on plastic water bottles which included the following claim in its headline: Adults will drink from 200 billion single use plastic water bottles in a lifetime 1 The first sentence of the article beneath the headline makes the same claim with a slightly different wording: "Adults will get through more than 200 billion single use plastic water bottles in a lifetime…." That sounds like a lot!
