It’s important to look at the context as well as the content of the offer. It’s not perfect but we’ve come a long way. Context In the dark days when Grayling was Lord Chancellor, there was little engagement, but palpable hostility, between MoJ and the criminal Bar. Since then, both sides have realised that constructive engagement is indispensable.
