For 20 years I have paid someone to vacuum my dryer vent run which starts with a 90 degree turn and then runs the length of my house under the floor. Today as I was having a contractor relocate that long run to a shorter one by venting it to the front of the house and he opened up and inspected from the first 90 degree turn to the final opening. Here is what he found at the first turn and more in another 20 feet along the way: This the view of the end being packed so tight that very little air could have ever escaped to the outside. It is packed so tight that you cannot get a nail or pencil through it....
