Quella mattina “ sprinnettava”. Una pioggerellina sottile stava delicatamente posandosi sulla città antica. In piazzetta S. Donato c’erano tante persone; qualche centinaio. Conoscevo tutti, anche se stentavo a riconoscerne alcuni. Erano trent’anni che non li vedevo. In trent’anni possono cambiare molte cose: la fisionomia, la residenza, la famiglia… ma non cambiano le radici. Ed erano proprio le nostre radici che ci avevano portato lì quella mattina, provenienti da tante parti d’Italia, per accompagnare in chiesa e dare l’ultimo saluto ad un uomo che aveva scritto pagine importanti nel libro della vita di ciascuno di noi: Bruno Gabrielli.
