始皇帝 始皇帝 TOP ｜ 喫煙 ｜ 葉巻 ｜ 電子タバコ ブログ 始皇帝 始皇帝（しこうてい、紀元前259年1月 - 紀元前210年7月）は、中国秦の王ないし皇帝。姓は?（えい）、氏は趙（ちょう）、諱は政（せい）。現代中国語では、始皇帝（シーホワンディー、Sh? Huangdi）または秦始皇（チンシーホワン、Qin Sh? Huang）という。 もともと秦の王であり、紀元前246年 - 紀元前210年の間在位して初めて中国を統一し、紀元前221年から中国史上はじめて皇帝と称した。 政の父、子楚（後の荘襄王）は趙の人質となっていたが、大商人呂不韋の力を借りて帰国し、秦の王になることができた。このときに子楚が呂不韋の愛人をもらい受け、この愛人が政の生母となる。 しかしその愛人は、子楚に渡されたときにはすでに身ごもっていたと言われる。つまり始皇帝の父親は子楚ではなく、呂不韋であるということになる。この話は当時かなり広く流布していた話らしく、『史記』では呂不韋列伝に事実として書かれているが、秦始皇本紀には書かれていない。司馬遷は両論併記の形をとったのであろう。『史記』秦始皇本紀所収の班固の上書とされる部分では「呂政」と書いて、はっきり始皇帝は秦の王室の血ではないと言い切っているが、これは秦王朝の正統性を否定するためという意味合いが強い。 しかし、同時代の春申君に同様の話があることなどから、事実ではないとする歴史家もある。また、子楚が後見人である呂不韋の愛人に手を出して懐妊させてしまったために、呂不韋がやむを得ず愛人を子楚に差し出したのではと見る歴史家もある。 この話が広く流布した背景には、始皇帝によって滅ぼされた六国の遺民たちの恨みがあり、始皇帝に不利な話が広まる要因になった可能性がある。 政について史記には、鼻が高く、目が長く、声はヤマイヌの如くで、恩愛の情に欠け、虎狼のように残忍な心の持ち主と記載されている。 戦国時代には、七国の君主すべてが王を名乗っていた（ただし一時期、秦王が西帝、斉王が東帝と称したことはあった）。統一という大事業を成し遂げた後の新時代には、そのような旧来の称号はふさわしくないと考えた政は、家臣たちに新しい称号を考えるように命令した。 家臣たちは、「むかし天皇（てんこう）、地皇（ちこう）、泰皇（たいこう）の三...
