I can’t believe it’s finished. I started this blog in late 2011. At the time, I thought it would take me 9 months to recap all 35 books. It ended up taking almost exactly 9 years. When I started, I had a two-year-old. Now she’s a middle-schooler with an almost-seven-year-old brother. It has been so fun to revisit these stories, not just to snark on them but also to genuinely appreciate the good in the series. I truly believe that The Girls of Canby Hall still holds up in a lot of ways, and that it at many points had some great characterization and writing.
