Εκπρόσωποι τύποις 19 Σεπτεμβρίου, 2010 Ενεφανίσθησαν άλλοτε, μετά μασκών και μεταμφιέσεων, να ανταγωνίζονται (μετά ή άνευ, ποιος ξέρει) άμιλλας και με μάχες υπογείους δια το ποίος εξ’ αυτών θα ήτο νικητής του θησαυρού. Του κρυμμένου. Ποιότηταν εκφράζων ο ένας, ποσότηταν ο άλλος. (Διάφοροι λέγουν για τον πρώτον ότι ούτως εδικτυώθη εις την πόλιν, δια τον δεύτερον πώς έτσι ηύξησε τον πλούτον του…) Έτη πολλά μετά, πάλιν εις αντιπάλους θέσεις, θα ξιφουλκίσωσι – ο εις με μέτρον ο άλλος πιο χυδαία, «ντόμπρα» που λέει ο κολακευμένος από αμφοτέρους λαός. Το ποιόν της πόλεως, ωστόσο, θα παραμείνει αναλλοίωτον, μάλλον, όστις εκ των δύο κι αν πρωτεύσει. Η πόλις αυτοπροσδιορίσθη οριστικώς ως Καρναβάλι.
