L’ombra, tuttavia, appena le persiane e le vetrate della finestra sono richiuse e raccostati gli scuri, si fa subito cruda, come in un sotterraneo; e subito, come se quella finestra non sia stata aperta da anni, il crudo di quest’ombra s’avverte, diventa quasi l’alito sensibile del silenzio sospeso vano sui mobili e gli oggetti, i quali, a lor volta, par che rimangano sgomenti, ogni giorno, della cura con cui sono stati spolverati, ripuliti e rimessi in ordine.
