Απόψεις | Ελεύθερη Καθημερινή Συζήτηση Απόψεις Ελεύθερη Καθημερινή Συζήτηση Ιθαγένεια – υπηκοότης και γραικύλοι Η υπηκοότης δεν μεταβάλλει την φυλετική υπόσταση των ανθρώπων Ιθαγένεια και υπηκοότης είναι δύο λέξεις με τελείως διαφορετικόν νόημα. Άλλη η σημασία της εννοίας ιθαγένεια και άλλη η σημασία της εννοίας υπηκοότης. Ατυχώς στους νομικούς και πολιτικούς κύκλους εταυτίσθη η μία έννοια με την άλλην, ώστε με την λέξιν ιθαγένεια να εννοήται η υπηκοότης και αντιστρόφως. Βεβαίως πολλοί επιστήμονες επικρίνουν αυτήν την ταύτισιν, η οποία δεν ανταποκρίνεται στην γλωσσικήν πραγματικότητα. Κατ’ αρχήν να διευκρινίσωμεν, ότι το τι ακριβώς σημαίνει μία λέξις το ορίζη η ετυμολογία (έτυμον= «η αρχική, η πρώτη των λέξεων σημασία ως εξάγεται εκ της προελεύσεώς της» (Δ.Δημητράκου, «Λεξικόν Ελληνικής Γλώσσης» τομ. ΣΤ, σελ. 3.011 λ. «έτυμον»). Ο ορισμός της σημασίας («σημασιολογία») μιας λέξεως είναι αποκλειστική υπόθεσις της γλωσσικής επιστήμης. Κάποιος νομοθέτης μπορεί να νομοθετή οτιδή...
