Vi dricker vin hela dagen och när det blir kväll och bara några timmar kvar av året är vi för berusade för att ta oss ut på stan. Någon beställer room service och mer vin. Vi sitter mitt emot varandra och skålar. Fyrverkerier på terassen. Nyår i olika tidzoner och mobilen vibrerar flitigt. Den första morgonen på 2012 vaknar jag med tungt huvud. Spolar upp ett bad, ett stort glas vatten och sammanfattar. 2011 blev året när jag inledde med att bestämma mig för att ta fler djupa andetag, att se saker i helikopterperspektiv och inte kasta mig mot något nytt.
