Germany has just had its rainiest month of August since records began. Eastern parts of the country had some flooding. Fortunately Hessen and Marburg didn't record the heaviest amounts of rain but it was still a lot wetter than normal. The weather data for Marburg for the month of August 2010 can be seen here.
