Dovadă stau cei aproximativ 16 milioane de turişti care o vizitează în fiecare an. Deşi am fost toamna, am fost mai mult decât impresionat. Într-un fel, consider că a fost mai bine aşa. Toamna sunt mai puţini turişti, este mai puţină aglomeraţie, iar vremea este în general suficient de caldă pentru a contribui la o experienţă plăcută. Oraşul este tăiat de 150 de canale peste care se află 400 de poduri, cele peste 3000 de alei creînd un labirint în care este uşor să te rătăceşti. Transportul Veneţia este deservită de două aeroporturi, Treviso şi Marco Polo, unde ajung curse ale mai multor companii aeriene (plecări din România de pe aeroporturile Bucureşti Băneasa şi Otopeni şi Timişoara ).
