What made this performance such a beautiful and touching piece was the stance the Grammy Awards made during the performance when 33 couples— gay, straight and interracial— were married by Queen Latifah. This public stance— written in the lyrics of “Same Love” and exemplified by the actions of those who put the Grammy Awards together— shows that the world is changing [slowly but steadily].
