Welcome Welcome History Preservation Donate Welcome History Preservation Donate Discover the historic Hatch Mill The Hatch Mill is one of a few remaining examples of an intact water-powered industrial property in Massachusetts It is on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Hatch Homestead and Mill Historic District, which includes the famed Red House*. In 2004 it was on the verge of collapse when it was saved by a dedicated group of Marshfield residents. Please see our updated (2023) History and Preservation pages. Our mission is to open the mill as a museum featuring the working water-powered sawmill, box mill and other mechanical infrastructure The mill welcomes visitors on pre-scheduled tours and during open houses.
