HDWI - New/Experimental Site The Hot-Dry-Windy Index (HDWI) Experimental/Research Site Major Update! The Hot-Dry-Windy Index has a new home at https://hdwindex.fs2c.usda.gov . Please update your bookmarks to the new site. We've been working with the U.S. Forest Service to build a more stable platform for HDWI, and we're happy to announce that it's ready to use. Advantages of the new site: Faster Processing: The new infrastructure from the USFS and cloud-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) will allow HDWI products to be available two hours earlier than our previous workflow. More Stable: The AWS server is expected to be much more reliable than the old server, and the update should reduce (or eliminate) the types of disruptions that occurred in recent months.
