I won’t lie. This batch of holidays this year was rough, probably the hardest I’ve ever faced. Every single moment was a reminder that Nim was dead, and that Hayleigh is also elderly and on her way. (Hayleigh turned 13 this year). However, despite the sadness that we all felt and shared, despite the obvious missing family member, we remembered, most of all, that we were alive, and Nim would have wanted us (and her) to have fun.
