Mai erau trei săptămâni bune până la Crăciun iar ţolurile cele noi erau departe de a fi gata. Războiul stătea în colţul cel mai îndepărtat al tindei cu iţele întinse, suveicile încărcate cu fire de lână colorată şi cele două spete cu dinţi deşi din os, gata pregătite. O nerăbdare o cuprinse pe bătrână, ar fi vrut să înceapă să ţeasă dar nu putea că ar fi stricat somnul micuţei făpturi. Ca şi cum i-ar fi simţit neliniştea, fetiţa începu iar să plângă. O ridică...
